Agri-residue to energy & materials · Uttar Pradesh

Straw in. Power, gas and packaging out.

Acmire Services turns the crop residue that India burns every harvest into biomass pellets for power plants, compressed biogas for fuel networks, and paper-based packaging that replaces plastic. One feedstock, four revenue lines, long-term buyers.

Our businesses

Four lines built on one cheap, renewable input.

Each line sells to buyers who need steady volume and sign for it in advance: power utilities, oil marketing companies, packaging converters and farmers.

Flagship

Biomass pellets & briquettes

Torrefied and non-torrefied pellets made from paddy and wheat straw, supplied to coal-fired power plants for co-firing.

  • Supplied under the Ministry of Power's SAMARTH mission framework
  • Long-term supply contracts with thermal power utilities
  • Also sold to boilers in sugar, textile and food industries
High growth

Compressed biogas (CBG)

Anaerobic digestion of straw and agri-waste into vehicle-grade biogas, sold to oil marketing companies for city gas and CNG networks.

  • Offtake through the national SATAT programme
  • Fermented organic manure as a second product
  • Plants sited inside the straw belt to cut freight
Core since 1995

Paper, board & packaging

Kraft paper, straw board, duplex and grey board, plus paper-based packaging for brands moving off single-use plastic.

  • Made to GSM, bursting factor and size
  • Corrugated boxes, cartons and moulded-fibre trays
  • Lower wood use through agro-residue pulp
Services

Residue collection & supply

Baling, aggregation, storage and transport of crop residue for our plants and for third-party buyers.

  • Village-level collection with farmer producer groups
  • Baler and rake fleet for the harvest window
  • Year-round depots so plants never run short
Why lenders and partners back it

Revenue that is contracted before it is produced.

The model is designed around the things banks and investors look for in a project: a known buyer, a cheap feedstock, a policy tailwind and more than one way to earn.

OFFTAKE

Assured buyers

Pellets go to power utilities and CBG to oil marketing companies on long-term purchase agreements.

POLICY

National programmes

Biomass co-firing and SATAT are standing Government of India programmes, with support schemes for plant capex.

FEEDSTOCK

Low, stable input cost

Crop residue is abundant in Uttar Pradesh and is otherwise burnt or left in the field.

DIVERSITY

Four revenue lines

Pellets, gas, manure and packaging spread risk across power, fuel, farming and consumer goods.

Field to customer

A supply chain that starts at harvest.

Straw is only available for a few weeks after each crop. Our chain collects it fast, stores it safely and feeds the plants all year.

Impact

Cleaner air, cleaner power, better farm income.

The same tonne of straw that would have been set on fire earns money for the farmer and displaces coal, fossil gas or plastic.

Less stubble burning

Buying residue gives farmers a reason not to burn it, which helps the winter air across North India.

Extra farm income

Farmers get paid for a by-product they used to treat as waste, and get organic manure back for their soil.

Lower emissions

Pellets replace coal, CBG replaces imported gas, and paper packaging replaces single-use plastic.

The company

Acmire Services Private Limited was incorporated in 1995 as Meera Agro and Straw Boards, a maker of pulp, paper and board from agricultural straw.

Renamed in May 2023, the company is building on three decades of handling crop residue to move into biomass energy, compressed biogas and sustainable packaging.

We work with farmers, power utilities, oil marketing companies, packaging buyers, technology partners and lenders.
